The Start/Finish area is quiet and peacefully at Christmas. At the moment one can hardly imagine the race atmosphere taking place in 6 months. The count down sounding from the speakers announcing the starts, the crackling tension among the bikers, the great joy of the finishers and the relaxed spectators are a real stark contrast to the sleepy status quo.

The Trophy Team wishes you Merry Christmas, time for relaxation and reflection on the important things in life and lots of luck and success in the New Year!

Healthy nutrition and more physical activity – those are the most popular New Years’ resolutions. More than 500 bikers have a great goal for 2011 since they have already registered for the Trophy. An as long as possible but still manageable marathon distance is not only great personal challenge but also the best motivation for a regular endurance training! Until the end of this year it is possible to register with the same starting fee as 2010. The Trophy website is going to be updated until mid of February. > For registration (ID = [kdnr])

The new website of the MarathonMan Series is online. Those who register until the end of the year, benefit from substantially reduced entry fees. The participation – incl. the Jersey – would be for three marathons 99, -- Euros, four marathons 129,-- Euros and when racing all five marathons it is only 145,-- Euros

Gerhard Gulewicz will be back on the extreme distance at the Trophy 2011! According to his experience at this years’ race the time limits are going to be recalculated. The time limit at the first two check points will be calculated more generously. Therefore the bikers – who have lost a lot of time due to a defect for example – still have a chance!

However at the new checkpoint in Hallstatt we are getting down to serious biking! Those who have not made the limit by now have no realistic chance to finish before the closing limit in Bad Goisern. Gerhard intends to tackle the race smoothly and will be expected at the finish between 08:50 pm and 09:00 pm. This means his has a time buffer of about 30 min at the first two check points, afterwards about 10 – 15 minutes.

On March 26 the popular spring classic takes place for the 7^th time in Maspalomas! There are again three distances with more than 35, 65 or 90 kilometres to choose from. Due to the great demand there will be for the first time also a street marathon organized on March 25, 2011.
