A real boom at the 13th Salzkammergut Trophy – Last years’ dramatic weather conditions are history. This year more than 4.000 participants are expected again. At the moment 2.500 bikers form 27 nations have already signed up. For all visitors the well-established program mixture is waiting – making the Trophy weekend in Bad Goisern an unforgettable party for all bikers and their fans:  unicyclist –downhill, Junior Trophy, helicopter sightseeing trips, pasta- party, expo-area and much more.

The new distance with more than 72 km starting in Obertraun is already fully booked, however on all other distances there are still plenty of starting positions available! Since our Trophy invitation was unfortunately delayed this year, we have extended the deadline for the reduced entry fee until June 20, 2010. With our partner mPAY24 it is possible to pay the entry fee directly during the registration procedure.

Besides the new course, many improvements in detail were made this year. New for example is a wardrobe–service at the distribution of starting numbers.  At the start in Obertraun a mini van by Taxi 4242 will be available an hour before start, which takes any clothing or back bags to the Lost & Found desk in the banquet hall in Bad Goisern. It is also possible to leave extra clothing at all refreshment stops. The expo-area has been relocated to a central place and many stands offer special trade fair prices, product samples, sweepstakes or test bikes. Every participant receives a starting package which includes a voucher book with information on all specials.

New is also an additional lap through town and a visitors’ spot at the sports center in Gosau with music and entertainment. From there visitors and coaches can also take off with the helicopter-shuttle to the Roßalm. Completely redesigned is also the finishing area in Bad Goisern. The bikers will be taking a lap of honor through the town and will be coming now from the opposite direction towards the finish line. In the Kirchengasse and at the Unteren Marktstraße there is going to be a special fan-zone.

So you would like to finish the extreme course of the Salzkammergut Trophy within the finishing deadlines?
Well then you should bike with Gerhard Gulewicz. At the moment Gerhard is biking for the 5^th time the RAAM – a race he desperately wants to win this year. Ten years ago he started his cycling career at the Salzkammergut Trophy, where he just wanted to make it to the finish. This year he will bike as pacemaker and will be 15 minutes below of all required limits.

The neighbouring towns of Bad Goisern – Gosau, Hallstatt and Obertraun still have plenty of vacancies and the hotel-shuttle will take you to the start on time.
