Thomas Dietsch (FRA) with new record
First time Salzkammergut Trophy victory for France: Thomas Dietsch (Gewiss-Bianchi) wins the 209 km extreme distance! Dietsch was from the very beginning among the top bikers before he was able to break away after 70 km. Ondrej Fojtik from Team "Toyota Kellys” was holding for a long time the fifth position - but during the second part of the race he increased his speed leaving some bikers behind. Stefan Danowski (Trenga De Team) was second for a long time - however at the very last climb the strong Czech biker pulled head.
Andrea Huser (SUI) ahead of Doris
Steenfatt (GER) and Anita Waiß (AUT)
What a thrilling race! This was a fight to the finish for the two Columbian racers Leonardo Paez and Julio Caro from the Gewiss-Bianchi Team and twice Giro winner Gilberto Simoni (Diquigiovanni Androni), Massimo de Bertolis (Full Dynamix SAS) and Heinz Verbnjak (KTM-Mountainbiker.at)!
In a thrilling final sprint Simoni wins at the end with a time of 4:29:59 only 20 hundredth of a second ahead of Paez! "Not quite as difficult as the Giro, but just as beautiful" an enthused Simoni who reaffirms this will not be his last biking season.
Jennifer O'Connor (NZL) ahead of Ruth Hagen (AUT) and Černá Pavlína (CZE)
The fastest biker queen on the 109,7 kilometer distance was Jennifer O'Connor (Paterson Training) from New Zealand. The last year's runner up improved her time by half an hour and won with 05:56:45! Ruth Hagen (Team Merida) from Vorarlberg Austria came in second and Pavlína Černá (CZE) came in third.

New! Kellys Dachstein loop
The Dachstein is the "boundary-post" of three states which means the course leads you through Styria, Salzburg and Upper Austria. The signposted course around this mountain landmark of the Salzkammergut is for sure one of the most spectacular tour of the Eastern Alps. The course leads from the town center of St. Agatha to Bad Aussee, along the Salza storage lake towards the Viehberg Alp, via Gröbming through the Enns valley to Ramsau, it continues to Filzmoos und Annaberg and via Gosau back to Bad Goisern. Ideal for sporty bikers in a three days leg.
Besides the 182 kilometer "Original Course", there is now also a new 270 kilometer long extreme version sign posted in both directions. The "Kellys Dachstein loop" is technically more challenging and leads every now and then to the original course. So this is ideal for biker groups of different levels.
The Tourism Service Salzkammergut offers a package deal including three nights, luggage transfer, a detailed description of the tours and Salzkammergut MTB Ticket starting at Euro 169,-
