About six weeks before the actual start of the Salzkammergut Trophy almost 1000 bikers have already signed up. This means a 50% increase compared to last year! In 2006 2.222 bikers from 25 nations participated in Austria's biggest MTB marathon. Those who register until the end of June benefit from the reduced entry fee and receive a personalized racing number!

Upon request it is possible to print one's nickname on the racing number. After your entry just send an e-mail under the subject nickname to info@trophy.at. In this e-mail please specify your full name, birth date and the course you registered for.

Well, without Gary Fisher there would be no Salzkammergut Trophy. The inventor of mountain bike will tackle the 110 km course of Austria's biggest marathon celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Although Gary had broken his ankle beginning of October, he is still a red-hot favorite within the "age group 4”. However if he should miss a spot on the podium, Gary will be still on the stage presenting the trophies to the winners of the 110 km and 200 km courses!

Be sure to check out Gary Fisher's newest bikes at the expo area Friday and the whole day of Saturday; Gary is also more than happy to sign autographs for his numerous fans.

Camping is possible again from Wednesday July 11th until Sunday July the 15th on the soccer field of SV Bad Goisern. The prices are per night resp. until noon of the following day.

For those who prefer it really offbeat, check out this years' new and spectacular event at the Salzkammergut Trophy tackling the 23,7 kilometres with a unicycle! This is called Mountain Unicycling or short "Muni", when trying to climb a mountain with a unicycle as well as getting down again safe and sound. In case someone passes the finishing line, the first three "Munis” will receive - besides thunderous applause - Trophies either in the category men or women.

Those who prefer to pedal à deux have the opportunity to participate with a tandem at the Salzkammergut Trophy. 2007 there will be on all courses an individual rating for tandem bikers. The steersman fills in the entry form for the desired course and sends an email with subject "tandem rating” to tandem@trophy.at including the data of his partner.

196 kilometres and 4,900 meters change in altitude
The Dachstein is the "boundary-post" of three states which means the course leads you through Styria, Salzburg and Upper Austria. The signposted course around this mountain landmark of the Salzkammergut is for sure one of the most spectacular tour of the Eastern Alps. The course leads from the town center of St. Agatha to Bad Aussee, along the Salza storage lake towards the Viehberg Alp, via Gröbming through the Enns valley to Ramsau, it continues to Filzmoos und Annaberg and via Gosau back to Bad Goisern. Ideal for sporty bikers in a three days leg.
