Bikers' meeting and briefing in English!
On Friday at 09:00 pm there is a bikers' meeting at the municipal office on the second floor - we are looking forward to your coming!

Race number distribution takes place again in the gym!
The starting numbers may be picked up on Friday between 03:00 pm and 09:00 pm and on Saturday from 07:00 am and one hour before each race at the Stephaneum. Those who have registered but the money is not yet on our account please see the "Trouble Desk” for your starting number. In any case the registration fee has to be paid again in cash!

T-Shirts
The T-Shirts will be handed out after the race in the Stephaneum! Every participant who turns in his chip will get a voucher for his shirt in exchange. For participants of the extreme course we have three special T-Shirts. (Finisher, DNF time limit or DNF defect) Those who quit during the race or don't show up at the start will get like all other bikers only a souvenir T-Shirt.

Accommodation & Hotel Shuttle

From Obertraun, Hallstatt and Gosau there is a shuttle to the start in Bad Goisern. From Gosau there will be an additional shuttle to the bikers' meeting resp. to the movie night. The price is only € 3,-- one way, bikes are free of charge. www.trophy.at/shuttle

Camping on mattresses
In the gym of the Stephaneum we offer 60 sleeping places at the max from Friday to Saturday. Please bring your own sleeping bag - sorry no pre-booking possible! Check-in possible at Friday from 03:00 pm. Registration fee is 5,-- Euros including tourism tax and cleaning! For an additional 5,-- Euros there will be breakfast at the Stephaneum.
Check out at the latest is on Saturday at 11:00 am!

Campsite
There is also only limited space at the Bike Camp on the sports field. The camp sites in Hallstatt and Obertraun as well as in other towns anderen Orten of the Salzkammergut still have space available.

New! "Feed-Zone!
The begin and the end of the so called "Feed-Zone" is marked by special signposts. No littering beyond this area! Those who litter along the race course or throw garbage into the ditches, woods or on meadows will be disqualified!

Pieces of clothing may be left at any service station and picked up later at the place of the starting number distribution.

Bikers who quit the race must turn in their timing chip to one of the marshals and may under no circumstances drive through the finishing line!

Your Trophy Team



Attention! Unlike many other huge bike events no bike was stolen at the Salzkammergut-Trophy the past two years! This is mainly due to an intensive control and awareness training by the police as well as the alertness of our participants.

Please make sure that you note the brand, model and the frame number of your bike before arriving in Gosau! After the race the bike may be deposit at the Park Fermé in the finishing area. The depot is open on Saturday from noon until 11:00 pm.

Arriving by train:
The train station in Bad Goisern is only 500 meters away from the market place where the race will start and where most of the festivities will take place. > Train schedule


Arriving by car:
From Friday 12:00 am until Saturday midnight the roads in the town center of Bad Goisern are closed for any kind of traffic. Parking spaces are available along the main road Nr 145. Please observe the signs and follow the instructions of the marshals. No parking at any time!

There are additional parking spaces in St. Agatha. All participants and also visitors may use a shuttle service to the center of Bad Goisern free of charge!

This year it will be again a get-together of many well known favorites competing against each other at the extreme course of the Trophy. Stefan Kogler from St. Gilgen, Stefan Donowski from Hamburg, Valentin Zeller from Bad Ischl and Henrik Scharf from Berlin have met already many times at the start. So this year again it will be a tight and exciting fight between Germany and Austria!

The women winners' trio of 2007 with Anita Waiß (ARBÖ Merida Polizei Wien), Doris Steenfatt (Conway Factory Team Deutschland) and Hedvig Nagy from Budapest has now a tough competitor with the Swiss lady Andrea Huser (winner of the extreme course 2006).

With his World Championship title Massimo de Bertolis celebrated in 2004 in Bad Goisern his biggest success. However there are also Leonardo Paez (COL), Thomas Dietsch (FRA), and the two times winner of the Gior Italia Gilberto Simoni, Roland Stauder (ITA) as well as Thomas Nicke and Andreas Strobel from Deutschland on the start. Austria is represented by Heinz Verbnjak and Roman Rametsteiner.

Emese Simon (HUN), Jennifer O'Connor (NZL) and Anita Krenn from Bad Goisern are counted among the female favorites!

Kellys Bicycles presents a few of the numerous highlights of the 11th Salzkammergut Trophy. Enjoy the sunrise at the Raschberg, the breathtaking insights from the trail through the Eternal Wall and the Lake Gosau where depending on the weather the Dachstein or the Gosaukamm reflects or the rain storms create wild waves.

Until Thursday the Bar Belle offers free pasta every evening as long as supply lasts. The bar is located right in the town center close to the tourist office. Owner Helmut Tritscher is also a biker and is going to participate again in the Trophy

After the winners' ceremony in the pavilion make sure you party in the Bar Belle until the morning hours. Great music and a great selection of soft drinks as well as cocktails war waiting for the bikers. For all Trophy participants the first beer is only 1.60 Euro (bring along your race number!)

The Cafe Maislinger in the center of Bad Goisern opens on Saturday at 4:00 am! Especially for participants of the long courses there is also some warm food available!

Those who are still hungry after the winners´ceremony can have dinner at the Cafe Maislinger until 11:00pm at Saturday. On Sunday after the Trophy the coffe shop is open from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm.

During the starting number distribution one can buy Trophy bike socks. One pair costs 4,90 Euro. Buy 4 pairs get one free - for 14,70 Euro!

The Trophy Jersey is available at the Redvil expo stand. Those who have ordered already a jersey still may try the jersey on and if necessary get a bigger or smaller size. When buying this Jersey you support the Schmetterlingkinder.

Numerous of exhibitors will present the latest and up to date bike innovations and novelties on Friday afternoon and on Saturday. For all participating bikers: many booths offer a free of charge service before the race! Some of the exhibitors present their latest bike models which may be tested right on the spot! Auch das CanaryBike Team ist wieder am Start!

On Sunday the July 13th the Junior Trophy takes place: the future mountain bike stars in the age of four until sixteen may test their biking skill at the Junior Mountainbike Trophy in Gosau.

The kids will tackle according to their age group a course from one kilometer up to challenging 18 kilometers. Start is at 11:00 am

So besides the Muni Marathon - for the first time there is going to be a Muni downhill competition at the Salzkammergut Trophy! The Gosaukammbahn takes you to the Zwieselalm at an elevation of 1.587 meters. After a mass start a 3.5 kilometer long downhill with more than 750 meters altitude difference along hiking trails and ski slopes will be tackled!
