In 2005, for the very first time, there will be besides the Cross-Country, Downhill und 4X also an UCI Marathon Worldcup!
Due to the successful organisation of this years Marathon WC, the Salzkammergut Trophy will be the only Austrian host of the Marathon Weltcup series.

The very demanding WC course with its start and finish in Bad Goisern is a special challenge for all Mountain bikers. Whereas you can really enjoy 106 km and 3700 meters change in altitude by tackling the course in 3 or 4 legs. We offer a package deal including a luggage transfer.

Leg 1 - Bad Goisern - Weissenbachtal - Lauffen - Ewige Wand - Bad Goisern about 30 km

Leg 2 - Bad Goisern - St. Agatha - Blaa Alm/Altaussee about 20 km

Leg 2b - Altaussee/Blaa Alm - Rettenbachalm - Tauernwand - Gamsöfen - Bad Ischl about 20 km

Leg 3 - Bad Ischl - Perneck - Reinfalzalm - Hütteneckalm - Bad Goisern about 35 km

Tackling this extreme course of 220km and 7000 meters change in altitude on a single day is a trip to hell. But how about a more enjoyable version? A wonderful bike event is guaranteed when doing the course in three to six legs including a luggage transfer!

The Dachstein is the "boundary-post" of three states which means the course leads you through Styria, Salzburg and Upper Austria. The signposted course around this mountain landmark of the Salzkammergut is for sure one of the most spectacular tour of the Eastern Alps. The course leads from the town center of St. Agatha to Bad Aussee, along the Salza storage lake towards the Viehberg Alp, via Gröbming through the Enns valley to Ramsau, it continues to Filzmoos und Annaberg and via Gosau back to Bad Goisern. Ideal for sporty bikers in a three days leg.
